Quick Details

$2,599

Advanced Cruising Certifications in Warwick

This 5-day advanced sailing course provides full understanding of sail shape controls and hull design principles, entering foreign ports, weather and heavy weather techniques, while practicing the navigational skills you have learned in ASA 105. Spinnaker sailing might also be an option – depending on training vessel.

We prefer to teach courses in New England around Cape Cod and the islands over the summer due to the more challenging/interesting cruising grounds.

Three students for New England based courses due to length of trip and size of vessels being used.

You will be responsible for purchasing your own inflatable PFD/harness, tether, and personal strobe light – amongst other safety items. A passport is most likely required for all Caribbean courses.

Duration

5 Days – Wednesday – Sunday in a liveaboard situation.

Each course provides at least 104 hours, aboard one of our 33-49 ft cruising sailboats.

Each course provides 16 hours of classroom-based instruction.

Required

ASA 101, 103, 104, 105 Certification Complete
To participate in the ASA 106 course, you are required to have completed ASA 101, 103, 104 and 105 courses.
Students need to purchase personal safety equipment for approx. $350.00

1:3 Ratio

Only three students per instructor – the best ratio in the industry. If a group of friends or two couples request to enroll together, we will permit a four to one ratio, but usually add an additional day of instruction (at no additional cost) to provide enough hands on sailing time per person.
