Catamaran Sailing Course in Warwick

We have been dialing in this course curriculum and flow over many years, and are VERY confident that this is one of the most thorough catamaran training courses out there!

This 2-day LIVEABOARD advanced sailing course provides the skills needed to handle a catamaran both under sail and power. After successfully completing this course, you will earn ASA Cruising Catamaran Certification. This course will provide you with a more advanced knowledge base, teaching you the essential skills you’ll need to safely command a sailing catamaran up to 48 ft on your own, in daylight, along the coastal waters of New England, the Caribbean, and beyond.

After successfully completing these catamaran sailing lessons, you will qualify for our Catamaran Cruising “Plus” Club which gives members access to our late model FP Mahe 36 and FP Lucia 40. Charter companies will be much more likely to charter you their fleet of expensive catamarans if you have this certification!

Topics cover preparation, multihull structure, components & features, boat systems & troubleshooting, seamanship, safety & how to handle emergency situations, crew positions & responsibilities, advanced mooring/docking/anchoring techniques under power, sail handling & reefing, tacking, gybing, crew overboard recovery, navigation, dinghy towing/use of davits, and much more.

1:3 Ratio

Only three students per instructor – the best ratio in the industry. If a group of friends or two couples request to enroll together, we will permit a four to one ratio, but usually add an additional day of instruction (at no additional cost) to provide enough hands-on sailing time per person.
